Born on May 23, 1977 and raised in Minnesota, I am now 30 years old.
I went to Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN, and graduated in 1995.
I attended the Moody Bible Institute of Chicago and graduated in 1999 with a B.A. in Applied Linguistics.
When I'm home in the States, I attend Friendship Church in Prior Lake, MN.
I am not married. I'm not so sure I have the gift of celibacy, though. I am content, but I am always keeping a watchful eye for the one God might have in store for me. I think I may have found her: her name is Julianne Erkel and she is a wonderful young lady. She is studying at Moody Bible Institute and shares the same passion as I do to reach the people of Africa with the Gospel. Check out this link if you want to see a picture of us. Please keep us in your prayers as we seek to follow God's will for our lives.
3 Reasons Why I Am A Missionary
1. The Bible tells me to preach the Good News to all people. (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15)
2. I am not ashamed of the Gospel because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes. (Romans 1:16)
3. I see no reason why not to do this.
I have decided to use the rest of my life in telling others about Jesus Christ. This was not a hasty decision -- it was made with lots of prayer. Whether it be a missionary overseas, a missionary in America, a pastor, or any other type of evangelist, it is my conviction that God has called me to follow Him in full-time ministry. I just don't see any reason why I could honestly say "no" to God concerning this. I know that God has given me exceptional gifts and I am now depending on Him to continue to shape and develop me the way that He sees fit.
